At 5’7″ and a size 28, the Ribcage is still the wide leg I grab when I’m getting dressed in 45 seconds flat. The rise is legitimately a 12″ front rise — it sits at the narrowest part of my natural waist, tucks into every bodysuit without gapping at the back, and never once has it slipped down through a coffee run. The leg opening is around 22″, which qualifies as a true wide leg without crossing into the “am I wearing a skirt” zone. Inseam runs 30-32″ in standard, which is a real inseam — the hem grazes the floor with an inch of drape in flats.

The denim is the classic Levi’s 12oz rigid cotton, and that’s the whole case for this jean. After ten-plus washes my pair has softened but held its silhouette; the knees haven’t bagged, the waist hasn’t stretched out, and the leg still falls in a clean column instead of collapsing inward. Honest negative: the rigid versions shrink roughly an inch in length after a hot wash, so if you’re between sizes in length, size long. The non-stretch takes 2-3 wears to break in the waistband.
