Levi’s 94 Baggy Jeans

The 94 Baggy is Levi’s reissue of the mid-’90s baggy cut, and at 5’7″ it hits right at the tension point between “cool” and “too much jean.” Front rise is about 11.5″ (high but not Ribcage-high), the leg opening is a genuinely ultra-wide 24-25″, and the inseam runs 30-32″ which puddles intentionally at the hem. This is a drape jean, not a fitted jean — the whole design relies on the fabric falling in a full column from hip to floor.

After ten-plus washes the rigid denim has that broken-in 90s slouch without losing shape at the seat. It drapes over sneakers beautifully. Honest negatives: if you’re under 5’5″ this cut will swallow you — the leg opening is too wide for shorter frames and the inseam will pool too much. And the rigid cotton holds its shape against the slouchy silhouette, which is the point, but it means the first few wears feel stiff in the waist.

Why we recommend it: The most authentic 90s baggy cut in the mainstream market. Drapes correctly, washes well, reads “vintage” without trying.
