Description
Lee’s Legendary Relaxed is the workwear mom jean — about 10.5″ rise on the 28, genuinely relaxed through the seat and thigh, and a true straight leg (no taper) around 16.5″ at the hem. Lee has been making workwear denim for over 130 years and the Legendary line is a direct descendant of their heritage overalls and rancher jeans. This is the cheapest real-heritage mom jean I’ve found.
What makes the Legendary different from Old Navy or even Gap at a similar price is the denim weight — it’s noticeably heavier cotton with better topstitching, closer to a Wrangler or a mid-tier Levi’s than a fast-fashion jean. At $35, it’s a genuine value. Honest note: the cut is more workwear than fashion — the rise is high but the leg opening is wide and the overall silhouette reads utilitarian. If you want the feminine mom-jean shape (tapered hem, sculpted seat), this isn’t it. If you want the broad-strokes mom-jean proportions in heritage denim at a workwear price, it’s the clear pick.
Why we recommend it: The workwear mom jean. 10.5″ rise, relaxed seat, true straight leg, $35. Heritage denim at a budget price.
