Description
The Rosie is the most versatile cut in the American Tall lineup and the one I wear most often. Verified 36-inch inseam, 11.5-inch rise, and a 15.5-inch leg opening at the ankle — clean straight, not skinny-straight or wide-straight. The fabric is their signature 11-oz cotton-elastane with about 2% stretch, the same composition as the Sarah skinny but cut in a more forgiving leg.
On my 5’11” frame and 36-inch inseam, these hit exactly at the ankle bone with no stacking — the straight leg is calibrated to fall just past the tibia. If you prefer them longer to drape over sneakers, size up to the 38″ inseam option (yes, they actually make that). Sizing runs true; I wear a size 28 and the waist fits without gap. Honest negatives: the leg opening is on the narrower side of straight — if you wear chunky boots, expect them to bunch at the boot shaft. The washes are limited to about eight options.
