American Tall Bella High-Rise Bootcut Jean (36″ Inseam)

Description

Bootcut is the hardest category for tall women because the flare only looks intentional if the jean is long enough to actually cover a boot shaft. The Bella is cut at 36 inches from crotch seam to hem with the flare kicking out from the knee, and on my 5’11” frame they hit exactly at the heel of a 2-inch boot. Rise is 11 inches, leg opening at the hem is 18 inches — real bootcut, not the slight-flare modern bootcut that’s really a straight.

Fabric is cotton-elastane, 11-oz weight, with the same 2% stretch as the rest of the American Tall lineup. They sit at my natural waist without gap and don’t ride down through the day. Honest negatives: if you’re not wearing them over actual boots, the flare will look off — these are designed for 2+ inch heel. The dark indigo wash bleeds for the first three washes; wash separately. If you’re 6’+, size up to the 38″ option — the 36″ will hit at ankle without boots.

Why we recommend it: Real bootcut with real length. Flare kicks from the knee and covers an actual boot shaft — not a sneaky straight leg sold as bootcut.
