The Jamie is Agolde’s flagship mom jean and the premium answer to the Levi’s Wedgie — about 11″ rise on the 28, straight leg with a subtle taper, and organic cotton denim that feels substantially better in the hand than anything in the sub-$100 range. The denim is heavier, the stitching is cleaner, and the washes are done with real vintage inspiration (not the slightly-too-polished fade you get on mass-market premium denim).

I’ve worn the Jamie for two years now and the fit hasn’t warped. The seat holds, the waistband hasn’t stretched out, the rigid cotton has softened into something that fits me specifically without losing its shape. Honest note: the price is real — $198 is a meaningful spend when the Wedgie does 85% of the same job for a third of the money. Buy Agolde for the fabric quality and the washes, not because it fits fundamentally better. Also: one batch I got (the light indigo) faded oddly — much more on the front thighs than the back — so I’d lean toward medium and dark washes.
