Description
Lucky Brand’s Bridgette is the brand’s mid-tier mom short: mid rise sitting at the hip bone, relaxed through the hip and thigh, raw hem at roughly a 4-inch inseam. Lucky Brand sits in the gap between mass-market (Levi’s, Wrangler) and premium ($150+) denim, and the Bridgette is a fair representation of where they land — better cotton than Old Navy, more polish than Wrangler, lower price than Madewell.
The denim is mid-weight cotton-elastane with light stretch — not as substantial as Madewell, but noticeably better than fast-fashion. Honest sizing note: Lucky Brand runs true to tag in the waist but the relaxed hip wears slightly bigger than the size suggests. If you want a more fitted hip, size down one. The wash variety is excellent — Lucky’s distressed washes are particularly well done, with hand-applied whiskering that doesn’t look machine-uniform. They photograph well.
Why we recommend it: Lucky’s mid-tier mom short. Better than mass-market, more affordable than premium, with particularly well-done distressed washes.
