Kancan’s denim shorts are the brand’s summer staple. High-rise, 3.5″ inseam, clean hem or raw edge depending on the wash. The stretch is moderate — enough to be comfortable without sliding up.
We tested both the raw-edge and cuffed versions. The raw edge looks more casual; the cuff reads a touch more polished. Both held up through a full summer of wear.
Fit note: Same Kancan sizing — go up one. The shorts run especially snug in the thigh.
Why we recommend them: Under $35 for denim shorts that look like they cost twice that. The fit flatters without riding up every five steps.
