Description
The Le Jane is Frame’s wide-leg flagship — high rise (11.5 inches), cut wide from the hip down in a true column silhouette. Built in 13-oz rigid Italian cotton (the heaviest weight Frame offers), with almost imperceptible 1% elastane woven through for recovery. The rigid denim is the point: these hold their shape through full days without the knee-bag that lighter stretch wide-legs develop.
Honest take: Frame’s cut naming is confusing. “Le Skinny de Jeanne” is actually snug-fitting, but “Le High” is their relaxed/straight. The Le Jane is the one you want for wide-leg. Frame runs true to size, slightly trimmer through the hip than Citizens — if you’re a 27 in COH, you might size up to 28 in Frame. The rigid denim feels stiff for the first 4-5 wears; by wash 10 it’s broken in but still structured. The long inseam (33 inches standard) is intentional — they’re designed to stack or pool. At $278, they’re a genuine investment; the Italian denim quality justifies it.
Why we recommend it: The rigid wide-leg. Italian mill, true column silhouette, shape-holding construction. The wide-leg that doesn’t bag out.
