Description
The 13MWZ is THE western work jean. If you’re shopping for boot-friendly denim with actual rodeo heritage, every other bootcut is a copy of this. Sits at the natural waist (high enough to tuck in a shirt), slim through the thigh, and a true bootcut opening sized to fit over a cowboy boot shaft without bunching. Designed by saddle makers in 1947 with reinforced seams that don’t chafe in the saddle.
Honest sizing note: the Cowboy Cut runs SHORT in the inseam compared to standard sizing — this is intentional, because cowboys wear them “stacked” over their boots. If you’re not wearing them with boots, size up an inch in length or buy the standard inseam. The rigid cotton shrinks roughly 1.5 inches in length after the first hot wash. They’re built to bleed indigo for the first few washes too.
Why we recommend it: The original western bootcut. Real heritage, real boot opening, built to be worn over actual boots. Under $50 for the genuine article.
